In 1995, Demetri Martin graduated from Yale University and went to the NYU School of Law, but he dropped out a year before graduation, despite his parent's objections to pursue a career in stand up.
In addition to comedy, Martin also voices Ice Bear in the Cartoon Network series We Bare Bears. Martin made his directorial debut in the film Dean, which he also wrote, edited, and stars in.
