Welcome to the world of Romance — it's a new era of Camila Cabello! After teasing fans all week with romantic visuals on her social media accounts, not one, but TWO new songs have officially arrived: "Shameless" and "Liar," and they both appear on her upcoming new project Romance.
In "Liar," Camila sings about trying to fight feelings for someone, but not being able to. She sings, "I said, I won't lose control, I don't want it/ I said, I won't get too close but I can't stop it (No)/ Oh, no, there you go, you're making me a liar/ Got me begging you for more."
"Shameless" is about being shameless about your emotions in a relationship. Camila sings, "Right now I'm shameless/ Screamin' my lungs out for ya/ Not afraid to face it/ I need you more than I want to." The new song also comes with an official music video full of fire, Camila dancing with a group of dopplegänger dancers, the singer in a church confession booth, and more. Watch the visual below.
In a statement, Cabello explained of her new songs, "These songs are basically the story of my life the past couple years and the stories I've accumulated — I knew for a long time I wanted my album to be called Romance because these stories are about falling in love."
Romance follows Cabello's 2018 debut solo album Camila, and her hit Shawn Mendes collaboration "Señorita." In a recent interview with Variety, Cabello explained that her new album was focused on the "now" and was written having fallen in love in the "present moment." She said, "Falling in love is like an infinite amount of levels and layers and angles. I fell in love and just opened up. Everything was written in present moment."
Camila Cabello is performing at this year's iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas in September alongside a lineup of superstar artists. Fans across the country can tune in and watch an exclusive live stream of the show on September 20th and 21st via The CW App and CWTV.com.
