Remember a few days ago I shared the viral video of a school principal caught on camera paddling a student? The video was recorded by the child's mother who felt she needed to expose what was happening in the school, even if at the expense of her daughter's pain.
The video went viral and when we shared the news many of our listeners commented with split opinions. Some said it was ok for kids to get spanked in school. Many said they'd pretty much lose it on anyone who laid hands on their child.
Also, same.
Anyway, following up on this news I learned that corporal punishment is allowed in some Florida school districts. Mind blown. That said, it's not allowed in Hendry County, where the incident occurred last month. Prosecutors say that after reviewing evidence, Central Elementary Principal Melissa Carter did not commit a crime. Mind blown, again.
I'm not a parent, so I may be out of my depth here, but if it's not allowed and it happened, isn't it punishable? Parents... I need your thoughts on this.
Check out the video below if you haven't seen it yet.
