>>Bears Lose In Heartbreaker Last Night Against The Penguins

(Wilkes-Barre, PA) -- The Hershey Bears season is over after a heartbreaking overtime loss in last night's Calder Cup Playoff matchup with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. With the series tied at one game apiece, last night was win or go home for the Bears and the Penguins. Down three-one late in the game, Hershey tied it with two goals in the closing minutes of the third period to force overtime. Eventually though, it was the Penguins who are moving on to round two after winning it four-three in extra time.  

>>Hit-And-Run Driver Who Injured PennDOT Flagger Is In Custody

(Silver Spring Township, PA) -- A Harrisburg man is facing charges related to a hit-and-run accident involving a PennDOT flagger last month. The accident happened in Cumberland County on Rich Valley Road where Dawson Smith ran into the flagger. Shortly after the accident, Smith actually called State Police admitting to the accident but said he wanted to "tell his side of the story." Yesterday, Smith was arrested and charged with aggravated vehicular assault and more. 

>>Cumberland County Man Guilty Of Killing Two Women He Had Relationships With

(Cumberland County, PA) -- The man accused of killing two women in July of 2020 in Cumberland County is guilty on all charges. Davone Anderson was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, one count of first-degree murder of an unborn child, and more. Court records show Anderson shot Sydney Parmelee in the beginning of July 2020, because he thought she was cheating on him and then killed Kaylee Lyons in late-July because he thought she'd turn him in for killing Parmelee. An autopsy revealed that Lyons was about six weeks pregnant when she was killed.

>>Police Looking For Armed York College Robber

(York County, PA) -- Police in York County are looking for a suspect identified in a recent robbery near York College. The suspect is Kylee Davenport of York, who is facing adult charges for the robbery that happened April 26th. Davenport was reportedly caught on camera leaving the scene of the armed robbery on a bicycle. Anyone with information is asked to call the police.        

>>Man Posing As Police Officers Arrested For Harrisburg Robbery

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A man wearing body armor and a police uniform is accused of robbing several victims early Sunday in Harrisburg. Police say it happened around 4 a.m. near North 7th Street and Maclay Street. Rancel Penalver was arrested shortly after the incident with pepper spray, handcuffs, an Airsoft pistol, loaded magazines, and a badge. The uniform Penalver was wearing reportedly read "Fugitive Recovery Agent." 

>>Suspect Description Released In Attempted Child Luring Case In Dauphin County

(West Hanover Township, PA) -- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an attempted child luring that happened in Dauphin County over the weekend. Sunday, about 4 p.m., troopers responded to the 81-hundred block of Kelly Drive in West Hanover Township. The suspect is described as an Indian or Hispanic man in his 20s, about five-feet, eight-inches tall, and thinner. No other information has been released. 

>>Man Accused Of Trying To Steal Running Car In York

(York County, PA) -- Columbia Borough Police say a man is facing charges for trying to steal a running car. The attempted theft happened on May 6th around 11:30 in the morning in the 400 block of Cherry Street. There, Aryton Nicolas Miller allegedly hopped into the driver's seat of an unlocked, running car and tried to take off. The rightful owner of the car confronted Miller and held him until police arrived. 

>>Police Say Scammer Used Bogus Skills Game Tickets To Purchase Items

(Cumberland County, PA) -- Carlisle Police are asking for help identifying a man accused of theft by deception. The charges relate to four separate incidents where the man paid for items at the Sunoco on Allen Road with Skills Game ticket winners. Those tickets, though, had already been cashed in elsewhere, and were worth nothing. Police have shared surveillance images of the suspect, hoping someone might recognize him.

>>Victim Of Rapho Township Crash Identified

(Rapho Twp, PA) -- The person who died in a weekend crash in Rapho Township has been identified as a Lebanon County woman. Police say Kristy Styer was driving a car on Route 72 when it collided head on with a pickup truck. Styer was found unresponsive in her vehicle and died at the scene from multiple traumatic injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

>>Mountville Man Charged With Sex Assault

(Conestoga Twp, PA) -- A Mountville man is accused of sexually assaulting an unconscious and underage girl in her Conestoga Township home in 2019. Police say DNA has confirmed that Darnell Lathon had sex with the girl after they had attended a party in Lancaster City. Investigators say DNA recovered from the bed where the girl had slept confirmed that Lathon had sexual contact with her. Lathon is facing charges that include aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.

>>Parking Lot Planned At Former Reading Town Pool

(Reading, PA) -- Plans are being made to convert a former public swimming pool in Reading into a neighborhood parking lot. The city owned East Reading Pool on South 14th and 1/2 Street has been closed for several years. The plans call for a lot of more than 60 spaces replacing the pool, with the rental charge of around 30-dollars a month for a spot. The cost of converting the site to a parking lot will be around 750-thousand-dollars, with much of that cost for a new retaining wall.

>>Clean Up Continues From Damaging Reading Tree Fall

(Reading, PA) -- The cleanup continues after a large tree fell onto a house in Reading, causing an estimated 70-thousand-dollars in damage. The combination of wet ground, deteriorating roots and strong wind caused the tree to fall on Hampden Boulevard. The roots tore through the sidewalk, and the falling tree damaged the porch and roof of a home. No injuries are reported from the incident.

>>Lancaster County Bridge Closing For Replacement

(Earl Township, PA) -- The Gristmill Road Bridge in Earl Township has carried its last vehicles. The bridge is closing today and will remain shut for nearly a year as a replacement project gets underway. The $2.6 million project will put a new bridge over the Conestoga River into place by next April. A detour is being put into place using Martindale Road and Route 322.

>>Plane Crash In Eastern PA

(Schuylkill County, PA) -- A small plane crashed in a field in Schuylkill County on Monday. WNEP-TV reports it happened at around noon in West Penn Township. The plane had to make an emergency landing due to an engine failure. It was a student pilot with an instructor and another passenger on board. All of them reportedly suffered only minor injuries. West Penn Township Police Chief James Bonner called it a remarkable landing underneath power lines and a telephone pole.

>>Mom Charged With Murdering Sons

(Doylestown, PA) -- A Bucks County mother is being charged with murdering her children. Trinh Nguyen allegedly shot Jeffrey and Nelson Tini, ages thirteen and nine, in their Upper Makefield Township home on May 2nd. The two boys died on Friday. Reports indicate they had been kept on life support at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia so their organs could be donated. The Morning Call reports Nguyen was arraigned in district court Monday on the updated charges. She remains held without bail at the Bucks County detention center.

>>Eagles To Play Home Opener In Primetime

(Philadelphia, PA) -- The Philadelphia Eagles are in off-season mode but they now know when they will play their home opener. Philly will host the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football in Week Two. It's set for September 19th and the Eagles shared the news yesterday on social media. The remainder of the schedule will be released on Thursday.
