On this day back in 1939… the city of Atlanta declared ALL OUT WAR on the scourge of society… Pinball Machines…. Yep, at that time, politicians believed Pinball was a dangerous, immoral game … a gateway to gambling… and a threat to healthy All-American Values.
So naturally, Hotlanta banned them…. and the Youth of America was Saved!
But it got us thinking... the United States has a LONG, RICH HISTORY of banning things that seem totally harmless & innocent.
