Shock Collar Question (6/26/26)

On this day, in 1870… the U.S. government looked at CHRISTMAS & said: “Yup, we’re definitely gonna be too hungover to work on that day…” And they passed a LAW making Christmas an Official Federal Holiday.

Even since then, Americans have PROUDLY let productivity slide from December 23rd until at least January-ish… 

But Christmas is just ONE STOP on the weird, winding road of US Federal Holidays…. Some in the past have got Re-named… Some were abandoned…. and a few others were Gambled away during FDR’s Poker Night in the Situation Room.
