On THIS DAY back in 1971…. Coca-Cola looked at a world torn apart by the Vietnam War, political strife & cultural divides…. and boldly said: "What if everybody just drank some Carbonated Corn Syrup & got along better?”

What followed, was the FAMOUS COMMERCIAL called: “I’d Like to Buy the World a Coke”… Even though Brooke is the only person here who was ALIVE to actually remember it…. That phrase became an Iconic Slogan for the Soda Brand & has lived on through the decades.

Thats why today, in honor of FAMOUS SLOGANS that tell Americans what to buy & how to feel… we’re doing a special: “Capitalist Catchphrase”  edition of Plenty of Twenty.
