On this day, in 2025… America said “GOODBYE” one last time… to AOL DIAL-UP INTERNET.
At its peak in 2000… AOL had 25 MILLION subscribers… along with 400 Million Free-Trial CDs, floating around in people’s desk drawers.
And even though Dial-up was basically OBSOLETE by the mid-2000s… AOL kept it alive for another TWENTY YEARS…. Kinda like refusing to take Grandpa off life support
But AOL isn’t the only piece of Ancient History from the early 2000s that hung around WAY past its Prime
