High Valley's journey to Nashville, was a little bit different than for most people who move to Music City. The duo composed of brothers Brad and Curtis Rempel, grew up in a Mennonite Community in Canada. Because of where they lived, they had very limited access to mainstream music, they got their first taste through 80's and 90's country.
Their first single "Make You Mine" has a very bluegrass, yet traditional feel. You can hear the powerful banjo's throughout the track, but they are perfectly complimented by the guitar licks. They play "I'll Fly Away" at their live shows and during a writing session asked the question, how could they create a song like that - that is so basic, simple and bluegrass. The result of that writing session was the single. They immediately started playing it live and say it's just so natural they didn't even have to think about it.
