ACM Awards: Florida Georgia Line Transformed Into Backstreet Boys & Everyone Lost It

Viewers were treated to a pop and country crossover on Sunday night (April 2) when Florida Georgia Line and the Backstreet Boys performed their new collaboration "God, Your Mama, and Me" (as well as a '90s gem) at the 2017 Academy of Country Music Awards.

For their collaborative performance, which was presented by host Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, FGL and BSB combined forces for the country-folk single, leading viewers to believe this was going to be one solemn and simple number. Things started off with Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard trading one-liners for the first verse before Nick Carter took over for the follow-up verse and the rest of BSB arrived on stage for some pretty stellar runs.

But these two acts didn't waste any time and shortly transitioned into the former's hit, "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)." In what was probably the most energetic performance of the evening, FGL temporarily transformed into additional members of the group, chiming in for vocals, and yes, even performing the original choreography to the '90s smash alongside the five bandmates. It might sound all fun and energetic in print, but everyone absolutely lost their sh*t. Seeing is believing, folks.

"God, Your Mama, and Me" serves as the third single off Florida Georgia Line's Dig Your Roots, which was released last August. Interestingly enough, the team-up is a full circle experience for FGL's Brian, who attended a House of Blues show by the pop boy band when he was in sixth grade.
