On this day in 1962, America was blessed with the grand opening of the very first Kohl’s department store… That’s right — before Amazon Prime… before Costco’s Warehouse Haven…. there was Kohl’s… A place where you could get a sweater... a blender.... AND inexplicably 40% off everything that was already 60% off.

Their company slogan? “Expect Great Things”… cuz nothing feels GREATER than walking out with $30 dollars in Kohl’s Cash, that expired yesterday.”
