Today is the birthday of a man who made it cool to wear shoulder pads & suspenders… while playing the flute to a hip hop beat… the lead singer of Outkast, Mr. André 3000.
Back in 2003, he gave us the song “Hey Ya!”… and ever since… there hasn’t been a Wedding where the maid of honor doesn’t shake it like a Polaroid Picture… It’s a rite of passage…
But what does the 3000 in his name refer to? Apparently it’s to signify that his music is SO ahead of his time… it must have came from the year 3000.
