Kaitlin Butts shared behind-the-scenes moments from Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” music video after its premiere on Wednesday (April 1).
Butts appears in the cinematic visual as a bully who confronts Langley in the bathroom of a saloon (meanwhile her boyfriend, played by Yellowstone’s Luke Grimes, reconnects with his ex-girlfriend, played by actress and model Ava Phillippe). Butts showed, however, that there’s no bad blood between the two artists in real life. She and Langley danced and sang along to “Choosin’ Texas” in the clip that Butts posted on TikTok and Instagram on Wednesday afternoon, sharing, “this is really what the girlies are doing in the bathroom.” She added in her caption, “sorry for being so mean to you, [Ella Langley].”
“[Ella Langley] made me bully her in the ‘Choosin’ Texas’ Official Music Video and I DID NOT LIKE IT…However, it is seriously the coolest thing that’s ever happened to be asked by Ella to be in this video during this massive moment around her and this song,” Butts added in an Instagram post. “Y’all go watch it and let me know if you need me to confront someone in a bathroom for ya. I’m real good at it.”
Langley’s star-studded “Choosin’ Texas” music video also featured Miranda Lambert, who co-wrote the history-making single with Langley, Joybeth Taylor and Luke Dick. It’s one of the first songs to release from Langley’s highly-anticipated sophomore studio album, Dandelion, along with the title track, “Be Her” and “Loving Life Again.” Dandelion will make its debut on Friday, April 10. Butts is one of the special guests on Langley’s headlining “Dandelion Tour,” kicking off this spring, along with Kameron Marlowe, Dylan Marlowe, Gabriella Rose and Laci Kaye Booth on select dates.
