Carly Pearce powered through a performance despite technical difficulties.
The Grammy-winning country star recently took the stage in Glasgow, Scotland, where she said she experienced an issue with the sound while she was singing. Pearce wrote in a caption on Instagram on Tuesday (May 19), âeven with our sound system giving out in the middle of the show, yâall stayed with us and showed UP.â Pearce said she âcanât wait to come back,â and for those who werenât at the show, âswipe to the end to watch my high note take the sound system out lol.â
The 10th slide of Pearceâs Instagram post shows a clip of the country artist singing a high note when the sound suddenly stopped. She turned to her band as they all realize wha was happening. Without her mic, Pearce said to the crowd, âI was like, âdid I just die?!ââ
Fans in the audience laughed. Some commented that Pearce delivered âan absolutely fantastic show⊠How you dealt with the sound issue was amazing!â Another said it was âa memorable moment,â and Pearce âcrushed it as always.â Rita Wilson hailed the performance âawesome in every way,â and sister duo Tigirlily Gold said Pearce âhandled that like a champ.â
Pearce is on her âInside the Dream Tour.â Sheâll return to the U.S. later this month for upcoming performances at the historic Grand Ole Opry and CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee. The singer-songwriter has been stirring anticipation for her fifth studio album; however, she has not announced the release date as of publication time. In recent months, Pearce has released âYou Can Have Him,â âIf I Donât Leave Iâm Gonna Stayâ with Riley Green, âChurch Girlâ and âDream Come True.â
